Overview
The Core is an Auckland Apple repair specialist serving individual customers, insurers and New Zealand businesses. At the time of the campaign, it had traded for more than a decade and supported its repairs with warranties.
Its services include iPhone screen repairs, MacBook repairs, iPad repairs and iMac repairs. Alongside its CBD store, the business offered urgent same-day repairs with courier pickup and delivery across Auckland.
The Challenge
The Core wanted to reduce Google Ads cost per conversion and build enough organic traffic and conversions to offset lost paid-search activity. Priorities included first-page rankings for high-volume, high-purchase-intent searches, visibility in Auckland's Google Maps local pack, technical improvements to the WordPress site and better website conversion rates.
Our Strategy
Repair the technical foundation
We used Google Trends and competitor analysis to guide keyword research, then addressed WordPress theme coding issues, heading structure, meta descriptions and page content. Internal linking and a link-building campaign supported domain authority, with the aim of keeping every page within two clicks of the homepage.
Make service pages more useful
Landing pages gained relevant images and FAQ sections to answer customer questions. One 750-word blog post per month added fresh content and internal links to service pages.
Strengthen local discovery
Directory submissions and Facebook profiles expanded name, address and phone listings. These improvements supported the local search objectives alongside the wider technical and content programme.
